Customer Spotlight: Reverb

“Sometimes you want to give up the guitar, you’ll hate the guitar. But if you stick with it, you’re gonna be rewarded.”

Reverb.com is an online marketplace for musical instruments. Unlike generalized auction sites like eBay, Reverb.com puts the musician and their unique orientation to the world at the center of everything they do. Speaking the musician’s language and sticking with it have certainly paid off for Reverb, which has grown from a global Alexa rank of 6.6 million in September of 2012 to a much loftier status of around 15,000 today.

To understand the mechanics behind Reverb’s rapid ascension, I spoke to founder and CEO, David Kalt. Kalt’s history of entrepreneurship underscores the nature of Reverb’s success. After graduating college, Kalt went to work as a recording engineer. Realizing this was not the path to fame and fortune, he chose computer science as a new pursuit and soon thereafter built one of the first CRM systems for the travel industry.

Why SEO Is Like Investing

During a recent conversation with a friend, I was struck by how similar SEO is to investment planning. People tend to take the same approaches to these subjects, with the most common being; 1. do nothing, 2. hire an expert to handle it for you, or 3. dig in and do it yourself. Let’s look at each in turn:

Bury your head in the sand. Obviously, the “do nothing” approach has one key benefit – it’s easy. Of course, it is also the least likely to yield tangible results. The most common reasons a person selects this approach are a lack of resources such as time or money, and that it’s too complicated. Sound familiar?

Benefits of Monetizing your sites with both adsense and infolink

I wonder while some publishers and writers and websites owners are not monetizing their sites with adsense and infolinks/kontera. Some of the advantages of doing this are:

  1. Since adsense displays relevant text and banners to your websites usually at the top, sidebars, below and in between posts some visitors may not easily see it when reading your contents at this time infolinks text-in- ad that is usually underlined in your contents becomes your best belt because as the visitors goes through they may find some of those underlined words interesting to them, so as they find out what is all about, then, the visitor clicks it. What i mean is this,is easier for those underline worlds to be clicked,so that if you don’t get clicks in adsense often, you get in infolinks.
  2. Payments methods and earning in pay per click: adsense pays via checks or western union, their earnings in per click is higher than both. Infolinks pay by check and payonier card, their ppc is low. kontera pay by check their ppc in earnings is equally lower compare to adsense. You can choose the payment method availabe in your country.

Am Using both it’s been rewarding, to increase your sites revenue via monetizing, try use the two combine adsense and infolinks or adsense and kontera is not against their T0S. I use both.Check out my blog to see how it looks like below.

Hurt by Google Panda

There’s no doubt about it – Google updates are something that all Internet marketers fear. After spending months (or even years) building up your backlink profiles and making sure that you’re maintaining good search engine rankings, a Google update can rock your marketing plans and leave you with a lot less income each month.

Google Panda was especially hard for many marketers because it focused on content and changed the game when it comes to online publishing. If you’ve made it a regular habit to spin articles, create keyword heavy text or otherwise try to increase your rankings with lots of keywords, you may have been in for a rude awakening once Panda rolled out. And there’s more yet to come! According to Google, Panda is just the first wave of several hundred changes that will be made to the algorithm. Most will have to do with quality content.
