1. Content Section Manager

On a Portal site, generally the news is shown divided into several Sections (Section) for example: New Info, Profiles, eLearning, and others. Each section has a category (Category). For example, New Info section has news category and sub category has the most popular News, latest news, and the news yesterday. The news division is included in the Section Manager.

Division Section or Category early on is critical in order for the system administration easier and neat, so when you want to edit one of the articles, you can find category nor the article’s session.

And when you want to create a Sub menu, then simply displays the session nor the category just so that all articles are included in the category or section can be displayed on the frontpage/open a page of the site.

Create A Section

This Menu displays the list of links to categories in the selected section. For example, news category will contain multiple categories namely: latest news, Hottest News, interesting news, important news, and sebagianya. In addition to the name of the selected category, the sum of the items that are in that category will also be shown, as these items are under the section. When you select one of the links category, it will pop up a page in the form of a tabular list of items that are in the category.

  1. First, select the menu Content > Section Manager.
  2. Once you are in the menu Section, create a new Section by clicking the New button in the top right.
  3. Stuffing box Title, enter the title of the Section. Then enter the name of the Section in the Section Name box. Enter one of the pictures if you want to display the image. To Access Level, select the Public so that all users can see all the content under it. If you selected Registered or Special, then only registered visitors can see the menu. If you would like to include a few words as the Intro, just type in the Description box.
  4. When you are finished, click the Save button to save.
  5. You can add descriptions on the menu Description. It serves as the opening words in each Section.

2. Content Category Manager

For example, New Info sessions have the news category and sub category has the most popular News, latest news, and the news yesterday. The news division is included in the Category Manager

  1. The next step is to create a category. Select the menu Content > Category Manager.
  2. After being in the Category, click New to create a new category. Enter the title of the category, the category name, and select the session (section) = news, as well as arrange other necessary specifications.
  3. When you are finished, click the Save button to save it. Make several other categories, for example: latest news, Hottest and news. If you have created three categories on the menu Category appears categories were just created. In the News Section, written a third category defines the Section News.
  4. The next step is to enter content into one of the categories. To do this, select the menu Content by Section > > News News Items.
  5. Click New, and then arrange the title (Title), aka (title alias/pseudonym) Section = News Category = news headlines.
  6. Type a couple of sentences as the opening sentence (the Intro).
  7. But if you don’t like it there is the box ignore intro. You can simply box Description (Description).
  8. You can also insert an image as an illustration. Place the cursor at the beginning of the paragraph, and then select the Mosimage (letter I) at the bottom. After you click the paragraph at the beginning then mosimage appears {mosimage} which means the images will be at the venue. You can set the position on the right.
  9. Go to the Tab Image, select one of the images that have been provided. You can also insert pictures of themselves (will be explained in other sections in this article). After the selected pictures, click Add to enter into the Content Image.
  10. Click the name of the image, and then set the Image Align = Right (the position of the picture), Alt Text = (header image that appears when the mouse is above), Border, Caption = 0 = (title image), Caption Position = (position title image), and the Caption Align = (align the title image). Once done click Apply, and then click the Save button at the top.
  11. If you want to set up some specifications that will be displayed in the content Tab, click the Parameters.
  • Back Button=No (button to return)
  • Page Title=Show (the title that will be displayed)
  • Linked Titles=Use Global (title linked)
  • Intro Text=Show (opening sentence)
  • Section Name=Hide (title Section)
  • Section Name Linkable=No (the title of the linked Section)
  • Category Name=Show (title Category)
  • Category Name Linkable=Yes (title of Category attached)
  • Item Rating=Show (number of ratings)
  • Author Names=Hide (the author’s name)
  • Created Date and Time=Hide (time and date created)
  • Modified Date and Time=Hide (time and date of modification/changes)
  • PDF/Print/Email Icon=Show (PDF icon, Print, and email)
  1. Whereas if you want to enter keyword (keywords) associated with the content tab, enable the Meta Info. Enter keywords related to the content. So when users search (Searching) then some words have been included will find the content in question.
  2. To train your knowledge, try creating some content in several categories. So it would seem the list content in a single Section of news.
  3. You have just created is the content only, for display on the front page (front end) need to be made a function menu for displaying the content. You can display content according to Category or Section.
