| Here are some great ideas about mindset and what it can do for you. |

How You Get Your Mindset – James Arthur Ray – jamesray.com
Our mindset literally creates our lives. If we believe, consciously or unconsciously, that vibrant good health is our birthright, then we are likely to have good health. If we believe that money is hard to come by and hard to keep, then that reality will manifest in our lives.
Where do we get these mindsets that cause us to think, feel and act in a certain way toward ourselves, others and our surroundings? Where do those original thoughts come from?
Our mindsets are largely unsolicited gifts from our parents, teachers, religious sources, society and other authorities. For the most part, you and I are the products of other people’s habitual ways of thinking.
We can produce positive, even outstanding, results. But we can also produce limiting, unwanted, ineffective and even harmful results. Remember, we form our mindsets, and then our mindsets form us. To get different results, we have to rethink our thinking.
Consider these questions:
- Who has influenced my thinking about myself, about others, about life and about success?
- What beliefs, attitudes and habits of thought have they passed down to me?
- What societal attitudes, religious beliefs or teachings are part of my mindset?
- Are these thoughts, attitudes, beliefs and teachings enhancing my success or limiting it?
This last question is very important. How has your mindset limited or enhanced your success? What have you gained or lost as a result of it? And even more importantly: What can you do about your old mindset–the habits, practices, attitudes, values, beliefs and expectations—that limit what you create in your life?

Mindset – Turn fear & scarcity into abundance & action –Eric Lofholm – ericlofholm.com
The new economy is here.
In the new economy we must learn to think differently.
We must develop new skills.
Many of the old business models don’t work.
Many of the old ways of thinking don’t work.
We must learn to think from abundance and action.
The Mindset of a Superstar
Three Steps to Success
Brett Figueroa is a personal success coach who worked under Tony Robbins for 6 years, and is now the owner of Momentum Strategies in Denver, Colorado. Brett says that there are three primary factors that put someone at the top of their game.
The Ultimate Goal.
Remember the movie City Slickers ? What is your “one thing?” The one thing you want to truly make your life feel complete. “Too many people”, Brett says, “go through life with a notion of what they want, without ever figuring out exactly what they want.” Do you want to retire in a beachfront estate? Create a happy family? End world hunger?
The Strategy.
Once people know what they want, they need to map out how to get there. How will they position themselves to where they can reach their goal? If you don’t yet have your map, look to others who have achieved what you want. Offer to buy them lunch so you can pick their brains. Create a map rather than just wandering around, hoping to stumble onto your dreams one day.
The Timeline.
When will you achieve your goal? What do you need to get there? When must you reach specific sub-goals in order to reach your final goal? Brett points out that if a person sets aside just one hour a day for their personal goal, they will have spent nine 40-hour weeks working on it by the end of the year!
If you don’t already have these three components defined in your life, I recommend taking some time to do so when you’re away from work. Check out some self-help books from the library, or buy a highly-rated one at your favorite bookstore. Get inspired, get ready, then get to work!

Libraries Fading As School Budget Crisis Deepens
By DONNA GORDON BLANKINSHIP (AP) – 6/25/2010
BELLEVUE, Wash. — Students who wished their school librarians a nice summer on the last day of school may be surprised this fall when they’re no longer around to recommend a good book or help with homework.
As the school budget crisis deepens, administrators across the nation have started to view school libraries as luxuries that can be axed rather than places where kids learn to love reading and do research.
No one will know exactly how many jobs are lost until fall, but the American Association of School Administrators projects 19 percent of the nation’s school districts will have fewer librarians next year, based on a survey this spring. Ten percent said they cut library staff for the 2009-2010 school year. {See the rest of this entry at http://www.atyourlibrary.org/libraries-fading-school-budget-crisis-deepens }
The loss of the school library will have far-reaching effects on our children. Despite the growth in ebooks and online research, books still provide a rich source for learning and sparking the imagination.
In light of all this, I strongly recommend volunteering your time at any library, school or public. There is much work to be done! And it has great benefits too! For example: http://www.atyourlibrary.org/librarystories/ruth-oak-hill

Carolyn McDade’s Spirit of Life truly inspires me, so I want to share with you.
Spirit of Life, come unto me.
Sing in my heart all the stirrings of compassion.
Blow in the wind, rise in the sea;
Move in the hand, giving life the shape of justice.
Roots hold me close; wings set me free;
Spirit of Life, come to me, come to me.
Spirit of Love, come unto me.
Deep in my soul, all the mystery of creation.
Teach me to care; peace let there be.
Lead me to truth, showing forth the paths of wisdom.
Roots hold me close; wings set me free.
Spirit of Love, come to me, come to me.
Hear the melody:

November 4 was a sad day for libraries in Aurora, Colorado. Many voices decry the complacency of the voters, and I believe another factor was in play – many of the more affluent Aurora citizens live in the southeast portion of the city where they are well-served by the Arapahoe Library District, and thus won’t feel the loss of service that central and northern Aurora residents will have to bear. For more discussion, see Jamie’s blog at http://jaslarue.blogspot.com/2009/11/aurora-library-election-loss.html .

Do you think your mineral supplements are effective?
Have you heard the latest research that shows which types of mineral forms are able to be absorbed by the body?
All current mineral forms — sulfates, chlorides, oxides, chelates — are shown to have questionable characteristics and high levels of free radical generation. See the abstract by Rabovsky at http://submissions.miracd.com/sfrbm2008/Itinerary/SearchHome.asp
