Tips For Writing An Effective Sales Page by Daylynne Starr

So you finally have your product ready to sell. What a great feeling! Now you’re ready to write up a sales page and start selling.

Have you given that any thought up till now? Well, you know how to do it. Just follow the pattern you see on all the other sales pages. Good idea! A grabber of a headline, then a powerful opening sentence.

Take these suggestions into consideration along with that and get some great results.

1. Put a real picture of yourself in your ad. This will show people that you’re not hiding behind your web site or a company name. Show them that you are a real person and you’re not afraid to backup your product.

2. List any famous or respected people who have purchased or used your product or other products. These people need to be fairly well known to your target audience, but don’t need to be major celebrities.

3. Include the results of any tests you may have run on your product. Can be stats, screenshots of results, even money or gross sales.

4. Show the results of any positive surveys you’ve taken from your customers or even just the general public. You could even just survey your current customers and list the results.

5. Tell about any other publications who may have written about your business, product or websites, or your reputation. It might be a product review, on a top ten list, an article, etc.

6. List any related books, products, courses or software that you have written. Or even names of articles you may have written for your blog. This can give you credibility because it shows you’re an expert.

7. Have a professional looking site when you publish your ad. When people visit your site and it looks unprofessional, they’ll relate that to your product.

8. Show any endorsements you may have from other marketers or famous people. Some people think if a famous person knows and uses your product, they’ll be safe in using it too.

9. BONUSES. Whatever you do, do NOT forget to add some bonuses. People have bought products based solely on the bonus offers. Be sure to include the value of the bonuses, and make them as appealing as the product you are selling.

10. Use a money-back guarantee in your ad. This will remove the risk from your potential customers and show them that you stand behind your product.

11. Provide testimonials from satisfied customers in your ad. The testimonials should include specific and believable results your customers have received. Remember the law now requires real people in testimonials.

12. Don’t forget a P.S. or two or even three. People read P.S. sometimes even before they read the copy.

13. Be sure to put the price in the ad! Really I’ve seen several ads lately where the only way to find the price was to hit the Pay-Now button.

14. Then, whatever you do, be sure to test all the links.

That’s it. Lots of good sales to you. Oh yes, before you announce the site, it’s always a good idea to have someone else take a close look at it. This can be someone you work with on the Net, or even a family member.

Follow Up Forever: The Key To Effective Marketing by Clate Mask

What is the REAL purpose of follow-up? Not everybody is ready to purchase your products or services right now. But that doesn’t mean they won’t eventually. Follow-up keeps your name in front of your contacts until they are ready to buy.

When should my first follow-up message go out? Immediately. If you obtained a lead from your website, make sure they instantly receive an e-mail from you. If you purchase your leads, get in touch with them right away. If you spoke to a prospect in person or on the phone, send them a follow-up message. Don’t give them time to forget about you. Start building that relationship right now.

How frequently should I follow up with my contacts? When first marketing to a lead or customer, it’s all right to send them several sequential e-mails. Remember, the average person needs to hear your message seven times before they buy. Follow up regularly during the first year of contact. After that you can include them in a less frequent campaign.

How long should I continue to follow up? Follow up should continue indefinitely. If you have a system in place, this should be a simple task. It never hurts to stay in touch. After all, you can never guess when a prospect will be ready to buy.

If you take the time to consistently follow up with ALL your prospects and customers, you will be adding hundreds, even thousands of dollars to your bottom line.

But let’s take this another step.

Instead of loading some marketing and training materials to your affiliate center and leaving it up to your affiliates to figure out how to use them, why not point out how to use them?

Example: List 10 great newsletters where they can purchase solo mailings to promote your offer. Put something in there for every budget. (What a nice treat it will be when one of your aggressive affiliates purchases a $500 solo mailing to promote your offer!)

You’ll be SHOCKED to see what this one additional step can mean to your bottom line.

But you could take it even another step further.

How about offering to personally train 10 affiliates in how best to promote your offer? You could teach one how to use e-zine advertising; another how to buy PPC ads in numerous engines; still another how to distribute e-zine articles.

Here’s an idea: how about you purchase a copy of the latest traffic tool or manual for one of your affiliates and get them involved in using it to promote you?

Can you imagine the impact?

Step 3: *SPREAD* Your Affiliate Program.

Finally, you want to continue growing your program by recruiting more and more affiliates. As your numbers grow, so will your results.

The bottom line is simple: instead of ‘juggling’ a bunch of different traffic ideas, a much more effective use of your time is to focus on ONE source of traffic: your own affiliate program.

Benefits of rewarding your affiliates.

If you run an affiliate program, do you reward your affiliates for a job well done? If not, you should start and immediately. These programs rely on the hard work and determination of affiliates to be successful. You may be surprised how much motivation rewards can provide.

Rewards are a form of inspiration. You have to inspire your affiliates. Affiliates are more likely to advertise their websites with your links when they have additional incentives for doing so. You are indirectly telling them it is really worth their time and endeavor.

Not only does rewarding your affiliates improve their drive and determination, but it should lead to more sales for you. Affiliates will work harder to push your products into the market. Send them a quick congratulatory message and thank them for participating in your program. People want to be recognized and congratulated. A boss shakes the hand of a well-performing employee in the traditional workplace, so try to do the same.
