(one of the websites I got through yourbizwebsites)
I have been in the affiliate marketing business since towards the end of July, but although I have gotten lots of page views, impressions, and the occasional click or two, I have yet to start “converting” customers into buyers, and so it is starting to seem obvious that I will need to start looking into changing tactics on attracting visitors and referring them to various sponsors. I have been reading a quite of variety of internet marketing training guides, such as http://www.associatesprogram.com/, Average Joe Marketer’s The Money is in the Niche (which is a nifty “getting started” guide that I would recommend to you new internet marketers out there (I posted a link to it at my websites at www.ryansjones.com/business.html), as it has lots of useful information on how to start and run a successful internet business, and other cool suff. One of the things I have learned from both is that I will need to find a profitable niche that I can effectively promoted and market. When I joined in the affiliate marketing business, I got an account with http://www.yourbizwebsites.com/ and took the fast track route and got 11 websites, all in hotly contested areas (such as dating tips, dog training, cat training, real estate, internet marketing, etc). Obviously, I don’t know everything about dating and relationships, internet marketing, etc. but while I am adding my own spin to these websites at my other site at: http://www.snohomishpromotionnichemarketing.com/ (such as a links page for internet marketers, links to online retailers for people into fitness and health, etc), I recently got another website through global domains international (the service there is actually cheaper than the ones at networksolutions and yourbizwebsites, at only $10 per month, with automatic enrollment in the company’s affiliate program, which you can check out at www.website.ws/ryansjones), and when fully complete, that site will have all new material, including one on travel, and at least one or two whole new niches that would be interesting to a variety of audiences, etc. Of course, I haven’t decided on a niche yet, but plan to come up with some ideas for the end of this week.

Of course some areas I am considering:
- church related stuff
- seattle area related stuff
- video games
- online retailers
- sports
- others
(stay tuned for my decision)
