Usually, cement plant used ball mill to grind clinker and gypsum into cement, now vertical roller mill presents a tight and efficient grinding method. Clinker and gypsum is ground with a rotating table that passes under large rollers. Material is forced from the table by centrifugal force, where this will make it trapped into an airstream to your classifier immediately above. Just like a ball mill, material that is definitely too coarse is returned to your table for extra grinding while material that’s fine enough is collected as product.
