Product Review
This PV panel is a great deal. Arrived appropriately packaged, undamaged, and on time. Build quality is very high. Quick tests show this panel performing right in spec on a cloudy November day in New England. Another review mentioned issues getting usable current with a partially illuminated panel. I didn’t find this to be a problem when testing the panel I received.

I also find this panel’s size to be ideal. I have another 120W panel that is slightly larger than two of these stuck together and it’s a bit unwieldy (it’s made by a major name brand PV manufacturer and I find the build quality of this Ramsond panel to be head and shoulders above it). I’d much rather have two of these working together (and my wallet agrees). Many amazon solar panel reviews have pointed out that you can receive high quality cheap solar panels on ebay, but I haven’t found that to be the case. Personally, for the cost of this panel with 2 day shipping via amazon prime I don’t understand why you’d look elsewhere.

I’ve got a small off grid solar setup and this panel is going to make a great addition to it. Will definitely be picking up more in the future!

I bought one of these panels for my 22′ Travel Trailer after talking to someone who had panels on their RV and I was amazed at how well it worked, I added a second panel, two new batteries, and a 1000 watt inverter and can now run most of the day (conservatively) during summertime in full sun without draining the batteries.

For trailers 100 watts to 200 watts is enough to get you off the grid, though you’ll still need external power or a generator to run AC’s, microwaves, or the AC outlets but we run lights, a 22″ lcd, dvd player, satelite box, water pump, charge our cell phones, a rechargeable vacuum, and rechargeable led lantern, as well as running two fans at various times throughout the day without draining the batteries. I’ve had to run my generator only three times over the past two months and have not hooked up to external power at all since I added the second panel.

I’d like to add a third panel but the price has gone up quite a bit over the last few months ($135 to $169) so we’re going to wait and see where the price goes.

Awesome!!!!!! That’s the only word for these! I ordered them yesterday and received them about two weeks earlier. I mean these People knew what I needed before I did. Seriously though, this is one of the best values From a world class partner on Amazon. I can not imagine who or why they would ever get a negative rating. They have earned 4.8 out of 5 star with thousands of reviews. But the Product is as first class. I hooked these upto a preverter connected to two “DD” cells and a 24 volt charge controller and ran my entire house for 6 weeks! The solar panels kept those “DD” cells really perked up.

I ordered three more sets six months ago and can’t wait for them to arrive, I selected the prime “20 mule team” delivery and they arrived today. They have already out lived their 25 year warranty and I can see them absorbing solar radiashun right thru the brown paper bag!

This product works as advertised. We have a small cabin “off grid” and wanted power for lighting and small appliances. Since I am not a skilled electrician or handyman, I went looking for a kit that would have everything I needed to get up and running. The solar elite kit fit the bill perfectly. This product is truly a plug and play apparatus. It took about four hours to mount the solar panels, hook up the regulator, inverter remote (this is the best – we can turn the power on/off from the house), inverter and batteries. We opted not to install the transfer switch and battery charger at this time because we don’t have a generator yet, but even that will be easy since GO Power has everything wired; so all we’ll have to do is plug it in. We had battery power (4 X 6volt golf cart batteries – sold separately) that night and drained them down to 70%. By noon the next day, they were 100% charged. At full sun, the (2) 145 watt panels were putting out 14amps of charge. If you can follow directions and have some basic tools (the instructions let you know what you’ll need) you can install this system. For my solar needs, this was/is the best product (quality and price) that I found. Additionally since I am a novice, I contacted the manufacture to inquire about how to calculate my power needs and how many batteries I would need etc. and the customer service was great. Every question was answered and I got the sense that they were genuinely interested in the success of my project and my satisfaction with their product.

I purchased this product to run security lights on our home property and to have some backup for when we loose power. Our power goes out frequently in the winter so I’m sure this system will get some use when the snow starts to fall. I have also used it to run my power saws and drill when doing odd jobs out back around the horse barns. I have tested to see if it would run the fridge and furnace and it had no problem doing that job. We have been using a diesel generator for backup and it does a good job but having to go out in bad weather to get more fuel every three days is something I hope to avoid in the future. My wife and I have downsized sense the kids are gone we use 1/4 the power now and have smaller appliances or a unit like this would not do the job for us.

This is a well designed well built system. The only thing you need are your batteries and the cables to join them together. (The other cables are included to connect them to the inverter) I have not completed the installation as of yet, the wife has me doing other projects. But I am confident the system will preform as described.
My plan is power part of my house to cut power demand and to provide stable power to some electronic equipment with the pure sign wave inverter.
I had a few questions which I emailed the manufacture ..ie about Battery type and requirements. They were quick to respond and very helpful. My package was also missing a component which I again contacted the manufacture and the part was received in 2 days.

I would recommend this system for your solar needs as my experience was great. The customer service was fantastic.

I read this book cover-to-cover over the course of a couple of weeks. I’m new to the field of renewable energy, so you’ll have to take my criticisms for what they are, a critique of the writing: 1) The author frequently repeats himself, and sometimes goes so far to state that he is repeating himself, and that the reader should refer back to a previous section. 2) Many of the references are "so and so claims such and such" or references to the Home Power magazine. It’s great that the author cites his sources, but it often left me wondering if the author placed any stock in the claim being reported. 3) The author frequently refers to his own house, which was designed from the ground up to use renewable energy. While this is neat, it doesn’t seem applicable to readers who already own houses (with a 99% chance that they’re not nearly as efficient, and that it’s not possible to convert them). 4) I would have enjoyed more information on solar power, since it seems to be the most applicable in urban and suburban areas. Instead, it received basically equal treatment alongside micro-hydroelectric and wind power. Product Review.

The previous reviewer said these cost more than $8 per watt. But the current price of $6750 for 1230 watts calculates out to $5.49. This puts them in the range the previous reviewer himself said was the price we should be expecting. So I don’t see these as out of the ball park. The only way I know to do a lot better is to do it yourself – start with individual cells and solder them together, then figure out a mounting etc. Not something everyone wants to do.
